Fermentation workshops
The workshops are FREE to frontline NHS staff and other key workers (eg care home and hospice workers). Please contact me for a booking code.
There are a limited number of these places but I will release free spaces with each workshop.
Fermented foods such as sauerkraut and kimchi are a great way to benefit from beneficial bacteria in your diet. They also brighten up any meal with punchy flavours and bright colours. During lockdown, they are a delicious way to preserve vegetables, increase variety in your diet and support your overall health and immunity.

As a biomedical research scientist, I previously worked with bacteria in laboratory settings, and several years ago, I was lucky enough to learn wild fermentation practices from fermentation revivalist Sandor Katz. I love collaborating with bacteria – now in the kitchen – and am passionate sharing the delights of richly probiotic foods.

Having run hands-on fermenting workshops for a number of years, I am now offering them online – for individuals or all the family, joining from your own kitchen. You will learn the art and kitchen science behind safe fermenting, interesting facts about the gut microbiome, and how probiotic foods can support overall health and immunity.

Group sizes will be limited to give plenty of time for questions and conversation about fermenting and the gut microbiome. I offer ongoing learning support through my dedicated facebook group – included in the fee – as you continue your fermentation adventures at home.
