Craniosacral therapy

a gentle yet profound treatment

CST.jpg

Craniosacral therapy is a supportive and holistic approach to health and vitality. I am committed to the biodynamic approach to craniosacral therapy that follows the priorities and pace set by you and your body. This means that treatment is gentle while facilitating deep, holistic change.

I am a registered craniosacral therapist, practising as part of a multidisciplinary team at The Integrated Practice on Harley Street, and at the Healthy Living Centre in Islington, North London. Continuity sessions are available online to existing clients during the coronavirus pandemic.

What craniosacral therapy involves

Using a light touch, the therapist listens to the body’s rhythms and motions that express health. The therapist may hold your head (cranium) or place their hands at the base of your spine (sacrum). You may feel pleasant sensations, such as warmth, tingling or deep relaxation.

To support your craniosacral treatment, I may also suggest simple, empowering body awareness tools that you can then easily use in everyday life.

How it can help

Craniosacral therapy (also called cranial) is suitable for people of all ages and for those with acute, chronic or fragile conditions. Rather than just treating symptoms, craniosacral therapy works with the underlying health, and so I find many conditions typically respond well to treatment, including migraines, RSI, depression, anxiety, fatigue disorders, back pain and autoimmune conditions.

In my practice, I have seen craniosacral therapy support recovery from burnout, shock and traumatic experiences. I offer specialist treatment for Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ME), Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS), Fibromyalgia, Post Viral Syndrome (PVS) and other chronic fatigue conditions.

People also choose cranial work to support recovery from injuries, such as whiplash, and for support before and after surgery and dental treatment. I have seen many clients find craniosacral therapy helpful in restoring digestive health, restful sleep, emotional wellbeing and overall vitality.
